International Thespian Society
The International Thespian Society (ITS) is the Educational Theatre Association’s student honorary organization. ITS recognizes the achievements of high school and middle school theatre students. Since 1929, EdTA has inducted more than 2 million Thespians into ITS. That number continues to grow, with more than 36,000 students from around the country being inducted each year. At the end of each school year, DHS inducts new students to ITS. Troupe 1096 is proud to be registered with this organization. |
Colorado Thespian Conference
The Colorado State Thespian Conference is a theatre convention for high school and middle school students. Filled with vocal workshops, acting workshops, tech workshops, acclaimed guest speakers, improv sessions, one acts, broadway merchandise, opening ceremonies, closing ceremonies, (getting tired yet?), and finally, two full fledged productions from state high schools, Thescon is every theatre kid's dream come true. Troupe 1096 prides itself on our dedicated attendance to this great opportunity. Every December, juniors and seniors of the troupe take performance and tech pieces to Denver that will be presented in front of a board of judges. As this is good exposure to the theatre industry, and good life experience, Troupe 1096 spends the majority of its first half of the year fundraising for this trip. So please, contribute to this fantastic event! |
